Hi everyone! Today I'm squeezing in a quick blog post because suddenly my work schedule has picked up so much that it feels like I'm back in varsity again! More on that another time (it's exciting, promise)
The diary of cricket was the first exhibition we went to in Hanoi. It's currently on show at the Vincom Center for Contemporary Art. I really enjoyed marveling at the giant cricket in the middle of the gallery space, it looked like he was constructed from bamboo.
Around the gallery were other odes to the Diary of a Cricket (a famous Vietnamese children's story). My favourite were the dragonfly shadows and the insects made from leather. The detail on them was insane - imagine having an insect costume made using a similar style! Hola!
The exhibition finishes on the 25th of this month so get there soon if you haven't been yet. Entrance is free!
Address: B1-R3 Floor, Royal City 72A Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.
