I'm all about #spacestobreathe at the moment. There was a time before coming on this adventure where I wasn't sure if I wanted to be an interior designer anymore. I was worried that my chosen field was wasteful and pretentious, supporting a culture of consumerism. While I'm not going to deny the fact that it does, being in Hanoi has made me so aware of the need for spaces where we feel we can breathe. It's in this light that I want to continue to design. I want to create spaces for people where anxiety can be laid to rest for a moment. Where your senses are heightened to goodness rather than the traffic outside or the demands of your office.
With that said, I wanted to share my 5 favourite spaces in Hanoi. The first 4 all made my list because these are my go to spots to breathe. The last one on my list is Train Street, this is more like a space to hold your breath while the train whizzes past! It was a thrill for me and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi. If you want to find out more info of any of the spots I mentioned please pop me a message or use the click through links.
Chris and I are off to Kuala Lumpur for the weekend! Can't wait to share some beautiful Malaysian interiors with you soon. Look out for my Instagram Stories if you want to keep up in real time!
